WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION?
I have been racing triathlons for 14 years. My background is swimming; I was on the swim team beginning at age seven. I started running for fun in college and then started riding after I graduated. It just made sense to put them all together.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
My biggest accomplish this year is winning my age group at the USAT Sprint Distance National Championship in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is pretty amazing to be a National Champion among such an elite group of athletes.
WHO IS YOUR HERO?
My hero is my mother. She always puts others before herself. She is extremely generous and has a big heart.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT YOUR SPORT?
I enjoy meeting new people and being able to share my experience. I just recently received my USAT Level 1 coaching certification and enjoy being able to help others reach their goals.
WHY IS TAKING CARE OF YOUR FEET IMPORTANT TO YOU?
Taking care of your feet is key. I spend so much time on my feet and they take a lot of abuse. If I neglect my feet, it impacts my ankles, knees and back. Take care of your feet and they will take care of you.
